Find Ancestors

I now have the confirmation , in Efner Street, of Kates parents in 1910. This was on 1910 american census. (William aged 63 and MargaretTucker. aged 45. Both 2nd marriages. Margaret looks as if it was Kates step-mother) KATE BORN 1886. William and Margaret were married 19yrs on 1910 cencus.( married 1892.) They immagrated in 1907 from England.
It seems Kates parents came to usa as well as Kate
did.

Kate would I am sure is listed there. My cousin in Buffalo would like to see the info printed.
It should state Kate Tucker. Herman would be at a different address in the same street.

(Scugog is a place in Ontario, Durham County, I believe)

Re abbatoys.
Hermans fathers name was Allbert. (this is what it looks like on marriage cert. of Herman and Kate in 1911) His mother was Rose Pickel. ? They both came from Canada.
The message from Heather,6th June, looks as if it is very possible. I belive Kate was a servant when her son Joseph was born. (out of wedlock)
Margarets message,6th June, saying Herman Abbatoy is on the 1910 census in Erie is correct I think. Unless they moved address, Both Kate and Herman were living at Efner Street, separate address before they married.

There's a Herman Abbotoy on the 1910 US census in Erie county. he was born 1884 in Canada. There's also a John Abbotoy born 1870, Canada. Someone has corrected the name to Abbatoy.

A possible daughter named after Herman's mother?

I have kates marriage cert. Married july 1911 Buffalo, New york.
Her father is William Joseh Tucker. Mother Margaret Neill.
Kate and Herman were living at Effner Street, Buffalo, separate address.
I have no access to 1910 cencus or I could look up.
William is not listed on the marriage cert. with an occupation.
Again, Margaret could have been Willams second wife in England. It could be her step-mum. But we have no proof.
The only facts that are know is Kate Tucker came to America alone, lived in Effner Street like the marriage cert. says.
Her son, born to her was before the marriage to Herman. He was known as Joseph Tucker

Yep, I think Maggie maywell be a second wife or a late marriage:?(BUT Im only guessing!) You need Kates birth certificate to see who her mother is. Can anyone find the family in the 1881?

First thing - get the marriage cert of Herman and Kate. If the father is William Joseph or Joseph William a plasterer then we are on the right track but we cant be sure of mum so you need to buy the birth cert of Kate - the ref is as follows, £7 from gro online using the ref:

Looks good, note the sister named Clara, brother named Albert as well as dad having Joseph as second name (though he actually entered just Joseph as his name and added william as an after thought, so would be known as Joseph). But you need to buy the marriage cert of Herman and Kate to confirm this:

Dad is shown as an employer - a Plasterer from Gravesend in Kent. Mum is from Shelton, Bedfordshire. You need to confirm by certificate info.

I dont know about american marriage certs but the marriage of Kate to Herman would sruely give at least her fathers name and occupation? So that would be your first step.

Have you any idea where she came from in England? Did she go to the states with her parents or alone? When was the boy Joseph born and where?

This is a stab in the dark. Kate was born 1886, England.
Kate Tuckers parents were William Tucker and Margaret ?. Both born England.

Kate went to USA. She married Herman Abbatoy in

1911. Both were living at Ethner Street, Buffalo.
Hermans father and mother were Albert and Rose.Both born in Canada.

Before Kate married she had a boy Joseph and he went under the name of Joseph Tucker.
Joseph changed his name to Arthur Abbatoy.

I know Kate and Herman had children. She named one Clara and another Albert.

Kate died in 1943. Buffalo.
Is there any descendents of Kate and Herman that can help me find Kate as a child and her parents address in England.
