I am trying to find out more information about my father John Clifford Hall 20th November 1924. His Mothers name was Gwendoline Olive Daisy May they Lived in Portsmouth and I was told my father was born in London but I dont know where. I was told he was brought up by his stepfather John Hall but his father was a dutch south African. I have a picture of my grandmothers sister in Canada I dont know if there are connections there

that is his date of death its his mother that is causing the problem because I cant find a birth for him is the information you have given me concerning his mother correct if I start looking into this. Does it mean her maiden name was Trinder. I am new to all this so I am not sure where to go with some information I have or where to get the information from. Thank you all for you help so far

All the numbers are the reference numbers needed for ordering a certificate from the GRO.

The details needed are: Event, Quarter & Year, Surname, First name(s), Registration District, Volume Number, Page Number

Based on Gwendoline's death info. she was born as Trinder. I would get that cert if I were you to establish her parents. I can't find her in 1901.

Then you might want to get that marriage cert to see if she married Claude.

Yes Rose he did 2 sisters muriel & Yvonne but I am not sure of there ages I think there was about 7 years between him and muriel I am not sure about Yvonne I know they were muriel my Dad & then Yvonne

I am also trying to find information on an Albert J cousins. He is my husbands father . My husband knows nothing about him the only thing we have managed to find out is that he Married my husbands mother in Chester in 1943 can anyone HELP in any way with information that might put my husbands mind at rest as to more information about his father?
