But yes very worth repeating, I can't believe I have finally found them :-)

Yes that's the right Albert, I also have all of these bits of info, such a shame I didn't know before all of his medals were sold in auction back in 2006.
I can't find anything on his first marriage or his two children previous to my mother .. And is them in particular i am searching for. I have found info on the 3rd wife May E Cohen married Albert Tomlinson in 1974 Hinckley she was known as Zena and she had two sons Brian and Philip they moved to Leicestershire and ran a working men's club. At some point they moved to Brighton which is where he died in '85. Im new to all of this research and I really do appreciate all of your help, thank you so much :-)

I did a search of Robin Tomlinsons and cross checked the mother's maiden names for marriages. Drew a blank ( apart from Wilson which I think was was wrong timescale and location ) but then , it wasn't definite that the son was called Robin anyway.

Potty

Potty Report 10 May 2012 12:14

Have tried looking for births of Robin. Could be anyone of these:

Robin Tomlinson Jul-Aug-Sep 1930 Brentford Oxfordshire
Robin Tomlinson Jan-Feb-Mar 1935 Stoke Newington Greater London
Robin Tomlinson Oct-Nov-Dec 1938 Liverpool North Lancashire
Robin Tomlinson Jul-Aug-Sep 1944 Gosport Sussex, Isle

Albert's Army Record may give you more information. This site has details of how to obtain it but it may take several months.

going to be too hard to find his first wife as there are so many Albert Tomlinson. Shame you dont have her maiden name then would be able to find children quicker.

Looking for my grandfathers "other" family. Albert married my grandmother Dorothy and had a daughter (Fay) b.1946. they lived in Houghton on the Hill Leics, she remembers her father introducing his children from a previous marriage, brother Robin (we think) and a sister (no name) both are older and we have no record of their mothers name. Albert was a major in the army prior to that he was a policeman, he was known to my family as Tommy or Frank. Albert was born in 1914 and died in brighton in 1985, I only ever met him 2 or 3 times and am curious to know more about him. Fay is my mother and I would like to find my uncle and Aunt and find any cousins as we grew up not knowing we had any. Many thanks if you can help. Lisa
