They have changed the search on FMP Ginns and I can no longer do a street search but I have done this in the past with no result. I seen to remember there were a lot of 'lodgers' so they could just have stayed there for a short time before they married. |

Have you done an address search for the 1871 census? |

This Margaret had a brother John, a bricklayer - if she lied about her age she may had also lied about her father??......... clutching at straws really :-S |

Going back to the mother's marriage to Peter Statham in 1864 - they both gave the address of Temperance Street, but weren't there on 1861/1871 census - I can't find Peter in 1861. He'd been married 16/2/1839 to Charlotte Rogerson, then 4/8/1844 to Ann Booth. |

No Ginns - that is a different Mark + Margaret Fenton just to confuse matters. |

Thanks Mary - that is a copy of 'my' cert. The person originally had the wrong wife for Mark so I sent a copy through to him as proof. |

Looks unlikely Dea. I wonder if Mark/Jane never married because he was not free to marry? |

Mark's father was George, whereas Dorothy's was Thomas so it could follow that Dorothy was Mark's aunt. |
