Find Ancestors

Hi, I'm really interested in finding out about the Deboe side of my tree.
My great-grandmother, Anne/ie Deboe (married name Lackey) was born in Liverpool in 1897/8 had three other siblings, Emma William, and Catherine.
her mother's name was Mary Ann Wilson, born in 1873. Her husband William Deboe, died in his twenties, from what we don't yet know, leaving his wife alone with four children., they lived in Portland Street, Liverpool. he was a Carter, and we believe he may have had a brother called Joseph. I am greatly interested in tracing back the Deboe line, so any information you may have, or even any realtion you may have to William, please let me know!

thankyou both for your help! Unfortunately, i don't have the money to be able to search the whole site for their details, so I'll have to try another way. I'd be very interested in finding out about William Deboe (the father, as I know about the son), but it's quite hard to do!

yes I've found him! The only annoying thing is, he's living with an uncle, whose name is indescernible, and there are no other deboes with him.

Although the alteration f name in little more than ten years or so couldn't really be likely, or could it?
apparently the name is either a corruption of the french name 'Dubois' meaning 'of the wood'or
is from the Dutch word 'Deboe' meaning 'merchant'.

However...i have noticed that Mary Ann born in 1873 and Catherine her daughter born 1890.... Mary would only have been 16/17 and maybe needed parental permission? I wonder if she never got the permission before William died?

Ignore the names of Coopey and Williamson as they appear to be the previous household schedule.

Joseph is listed as son but is first name

Then there is a Catherine age 60 widow listed as Head of family - she is not shown on transcription
