Find Ancestors

My G Grandfather was John Henry Batten b 1883 and he married a Louisa Roberts. b 1880. He was born in Porthleven Cornwall and later lived at Camborne but I am unable to trace his father and mother or siblings I believe the names Rosalinda and Katie come somewhere in the tree. Can anyone help me Thanks.

There are a couple of entries for the name at about the right time in the right area on freebmd. The birth cert would confirm the names of his parents.

Seeing as you don't know his parents then presumably you don't have the birth cert. How do you know where he was born?

Between 1882 and 1886 there are six births for the name, only one is out of the Devon/Cornwall region.

Thanks for your help it just seems funny that Mary had Roslinda when she was 46 years old perhaps ???? this could have been Kate' s child born out of wedlock. I don't suppose we shall ever know this. but it won't be the first child born like this in this family.
