Donald McIntyre born 17/08/1828 Married Janet Crichton in 1854 perthshire. Donald died 10/10/1918 unknown. Janet was born around 1830 and died 16/09/1896. children were Isabella 1855, Euphemia 1858, James 1860, Jessie 1861, Margaret 1864, Crichton 1866,Mary 1868.

I am seeking any information on this family including a place of death for Donald and his brother James born 24/02/1834 in perth, who died 02/01/1919 where unknown. They are buried in Greyfriars cemetery Perth with parents and several other family members. Blk E Plot 60. James has a wife named Eliz Gall?? buried with him but I have no record of their marriage, or any children. Any information on Mcintyres in the Perth area would be of help, but as the rest of Donald and James siblings came to Nz, and I have located their burials, it would appear that these 2 sons are likely to have produced any living Mcintyre relations in scotland or England today. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You need to get onto Scotlands People Website.
A pay to view site but well worth looking.

I am looking for descendants of James McIntyre and wife Euphemia Allison. James and Euphemia (known as Phoebe) were married on 5/1/1828 in the east church parish of Perth. Eupemia was a daughter of Robert Allison, wright in the parish of Dunkeld.

1851 cencus James was 48 YO self employed painter, Euphemia 49 Yo were living in Skinnergate Perthshire Scotland. Children were: Donald 22 painter, Robert 21 Painter, Jessie-Ann 18, James 15 painter, Lauchlan 13 scholar, Isabella 11 scholar, Euphemia 8 scholar, Charles 6 scholar.

I have James McIntyres parents listed as Daniel McIntyre and Janet Grant.

I am a descendant of Euphemia (age 8 above), who travelled to NZ in 1863 on a ship names the "Grassmere". 2 other siblings had already come to NZ in 1861 on the "Silistra", Isabella and Lachlan. It is believed that Robert also came to NZ but no confirmation has ever been found of this.

Only details discovered of family remaining in Scotland are:
Donald McIntyre born abt 1831 in Perthshire. Last info cencus 1861 living at 3 curfew road, Perth Burgh, with his wife Janet and children euphemia 2, isabella 5, james 10 months. roll ref CSSCT1861_51. Household schedule number 134.

I would ideally like to trace any relatives of the McIntyre family who remained in Scotland with a view to finding living relatives who are missing our NZ 3 from mid 1800's.

Regards and thanks to anyone who takes time to read assist with my quest.

Roz.
