Hi Jean,

There is a connection with Liverpool, but dont know as yet with any footballers! Mainly in the docks, also a female Barton was born there a grandaughter of John & Mary, I also spotted the wills for Bartons there are a few from Witton, but as yet am unable to tie any in with these Bartons, I now cant find the Bejamin Barton who I spotted on a marriage record dam!!

Hi Jean,

I am sure I spotted a Benjamin on one of the marriage entries as a witness I will have another look to see which parish.

Hi Jeannie,

Thanks for that, I do not live far frrom Chester, but I did not realise how many parishes cheshire had!, and the more I read the more confused i became!

I am looking for the family BARTON, I have them on all the census, and I have ordered a marriage today between John Barton & Mary Senior hoping for some extra info (1822). However on the 1841 census in Witton living with John & Mary is a Benjamin Barton (born in county) I was trying to find out something relating to him, his birth year was approx 1761....I dont want to presume this is Johns father but it is very likely I think. Any ideas!!

Ann..........In soggy North Wales!

Hi All,

Anyone up on Cheshire Parish Records, relating to Northwich in particular, I have been on the project site but find it all a bit confusing! I think I have sussed out how to work out the event dates

Witton cum Twambrooks does come under Northwich pre 1837, or have I got that wrong!
