Don't hold too much store with births and names on censuses. Give or take a couple of years/variations. Human error was and still is rife! How would you react if someone came to your doorstep asking the names and ages of everyone who lived there! The informaton was then transcribed back at the office!! So plenty of headaches for us searchers, |

1841 was supposed to be rounded down to nearest 5 - sometimes this is the case, sometimes not. If you get a family group with all ages ending in 0 or 5 (except for the kids under 15 which should be the right age) then you know the enumerator has followed the rule. |
