Yes, that doesn't tie up does it? Also, if he had a middle name would that not show up on his Marriage Certificate, because his wife's middle name was shown.

Highly likely, going off experience. I know they rounded up and down, particularly on the 1841 census.

I'm just slightly bothered by the fact that he gives his place of birth as Lambeth in 1891 which is south of the river, and Hoxton in 1881 which is definitely north.

If it is him, that means the Census info is three years 'out' on the 1891 and 1901 Census.Is that likely do you think?
