I have this family on the 1881 census and would be very grateful if anyone can find them on 1871 or earlier census. |

You're going to have to go back quite a few generations to find a connection to Charles 1st. He died in 1649! |

I know Margaret, I think that would be a bit too difficult even for the most experienced members of Genes! |

Lindsey, many thanks for that. Do you think that Ann Murdock is a second wife, I will have to have a look for marriage and death of first wife. |

Could anyone tell me who is Ann Murdock on the 1851 census above? Just looked at the ages and realised that she is old enough to be Thomas's grandmother |

Just a mistranscription on the 1851 census, Selena. Ann is 30, wife of John. |

Can anyone tell me if they think this could be right with regard to John Murdock? |

Curious! Patrick Parker is a lodger in 1851 and William & Elijah Parker are boarders in 1861. Sounds as if there's a family connection, doesn't it? |

Thanks Jennifer, I'll get the certificate, also as there are several births for Jane to choose from so I need to know more about her. |
