Sandra, I just popped in for a second. I will be back in a couple of hours. Might I suggest you start your own thread, and list more details, if you are comfortable sharing them? (His name, age, place of birth?) There are a few of us in North America who could help look for him (as well as folks in the UK who have access to some records).

The immigration records mentioned the Salvation Army and that he was a Salvation Army Officer.

I have a couple of ancestors who were in the Salvation Army in Ontario, Canada. A relative was able to obtain records from them about our ancestor.

I wonder if you would be able to obtain information about Marie?

It looks like she was still travelling in 1933. Home was New York (possibly 122 W 14th Street, New York).

This site mentions 122 West 14th Street. Could it have been a main office in New York? You really might be able to find out further information about the Gauntlett's by contacting the Salvation Army.

I have her dob as abt 29 March 1867 and she was born in Denmark, being Danish.. Silly me - she died as Marie Fredericke Gauntlett (how silly!!! Sorry.

After a quick look, I don't see anything. Would you have her date of birth, please? Do you know approximately when she came to the states, please? And, also, was she born in England?

I just checked Social Security information. Supposedly most deaths are listed starting in 1962.

Does anyone have any access to the above please? I am told that my step great grandmother died in the States. Her name was Marie Fredericke Jensen and she died 22nd January 1951. I'd love to be able to record the place where she died if it's possible.
