Thats a good assumption Eileen, I'm working on the theory that Albert is the son of Elizabeth at the moment. She is the eldest of Mary and James children. |

Perhaps Albert /Peter did not know he was a grandson,the other children aren't that much older,only the census taker would have known the truth,and not the neighbours!! |

In 1901 there is a James Rout in Gorefield St Paul Cambs a servant age 17 says born Terrington St Paul (that is the right area). Perhaps he was the father. Have you considered that they may not have been married,but that he took the father's surname later? Eileen |

The 1911 and 1901 census detials are the same family In 1911 James Rout is listed as born in Terrington St Clement |

Do you know if he had a lot of siblings? This one is father James with a brother Herbert, mother could still be having children 5 - 7 years later. |
