Does anyone know how to find out info about policing in Priddy Somerset around 1850.I have a relative called Edwin White who was a policeman then.So far I have been unable to find any info about his life and work.

We wanted to find details of an ancestors who was a policeman, and the Metropolitan Police Archives were very helpful.
