It could possibly be through the Newman side as the house was only left to the Newman Children after Sarah's death. Needs further investigation I think.

Re the Isle of Wight/Hampshire connection - that appears to be through the Dimmicks. Its an unusual name - enter it in an ancestry search or google it and you will find hoards of them in that area.

I know somewhere between when Bertie was born 1904 and 1911 they moved to Freshwater isle of wight but don't know why they moved there. Thought perhaps Sarah had family there and was left a house but that seems unlikely now.

We wondered if there was a link through her family to the Isle of wight because when she died she left the house to the Newman children not to any of the Dimmick Children. but that does not seem likely now.

Which ties in with this family where mum is married but dad absent. Plus look at the kids names, she has used some of those for her own: You often see siblings names used.

Where was George Dimmick, junior born? (I wish you had told us the rest of the info you knew in the first post - would have saved a bit of faffing about looking for her in 1901)

Just got some more info off 1911 cencus
She was born Poplar Island. Is this Poplar London or somewhere else?
and she is 39 years old living on the Isle of Wight

She definately married all three.
First child to Newman was Alice born 1891 and Albert William born 1895
William Newman died in 1896.
She then married ? when where George Dimmick Born 1865 chelsea and had 3 more children, George 1899, Herbert1902 and Bertie 1904. George Dimmick died in 1917 on the Isle of Wight. In 1930 she married George Toogood on the Isle of Wight.
I have the marriage Cert for her first Marriage and the Father is listed as Edward Rogers deceased and he was a Barge Builder.

If her first husband was William Stewart Newman, this is probably why you cant find her with him: He died between census. So may be she did marry that Dimmick chap? What children did she have by 1896?

On any census, even after she married, what is her place of birth given as? When/where did she marry? When/where was eldest child born? On the marriage cert what is her fathers occupation?

The above info from familysearch is submitted by a member, so cant be taken as gospel - do you know if she married that many times?

I am having difficulty finding anything on Sarah Jane Rogers born c1871 on any cencus to confirm parents etc.
I have the Marriage cert Rogers - Newman and on it her father is listed as Edward Rogers Deceased. Below is the info I have found on People Search But I cant find anything else on Cencus's.
I think she was born in the Isle of wight but have looked on there local history site and can not find her.
