Any specialists out there this evening who could possibly offer me some guidance as to how I might find out how to prove that the photograph we have of a young man is definitely the younger version of him as verified in old age? Both are sepia. Photo One was probably taken in 1860 and is stamped 'Marrett & Co, Market St, Maidenhead'. Photo Two was taken by 'G. Habgood, Boscombe' in about 1900.

I do hope there's some clever person reading this!

Many thanks in advance.

Sorry, folks but I have to sign off now. So please don't be offended if I don't reply to you tonight.
Back soon, I promise.

Burning the midnight oil and back on again.

Is there anyone out there who knows what I should do about my quest, please?

Dear Nicola

Could you take these photos to your local archive/history centre and ask them for advice.

RIng them first and ask if they can help or if they know of someone who can.

Or would a specialist photo shop be able to help? But watch for prices.

Best wishes.
