So was Edward born after his dad died in 1917 (Frank richard Higgins) and are you thinking the dad was Frederick H Barcley.
Was Queenie M born 1912 and Marjorie A 1915 Portsmouth the same family.
If they are have you looked for relatives of them?

The Barclay twins were born in London 27/10/1934 to mum nee Taylor. Parents were Frederick H Barclay born Killmarnock Scotland.a travelling salesman and Beatrice C Taylor married in Solihull in 1925 Beatrice had a sweet shop. They had 10 or 11 children. On google it says twins were born to Scottish parents but I'am not sure about Beatrice.
Does this help at all.

UK, Soldiers Died in the Great War, 1914-1919 about Frank Richard Higgins Name: Frank Richard Higgins Birth Place: Finsbury, London Residence: Portsmouth Death Date: 10 Jul 1917 Rank: Private Regiment: Hampshire Regiment Battalion: 2nd Battalion. Number: 203587 Type of Casualty: Killed in action Casualty Details Name: HIGGINS Initials: F R Nationality: United Kingdom Rank: Private Regiment/Service: Hampshire Regiment Unit Text: 2nd Bn. Date of Death: 10/07/1917 Service No: 203587 Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead Grave/Memorial Reference: III. B. 31. Cemetery: BARD COTTAGE CEMETERY
Cemetery: BARD COTTAGE CEMETERY Country: Belgium Location Information: The Cemetery is located on the Diksmuidseweg road (N369) in the direction of Boezinge. From Ieper station turn left into M.Fochlaan and go to the roundabout, turn right and go to the next roundabout. Here turn left and drive to the next roundabout, where you should turn right into Oude Veurnestraat. Take the second turning on the left, which is the Diksmuidseweg and carry on under the motorway bridge and the cemetery is another 300 metres on the left hand side of the road. N.B. Bard Cottage Cemetery is the first cemetery on the left, the second being Talana Farm Cemetery. Historical Information: For much of the First World war, the village of Boesinghe (now Boezinge) directly faced the German line across the Yser canal. Bard Cottage was a house a little set back from the line, close to a bridge called Bard's Causeway, and the cemetery was made nearby in a sheltered position under a high bank. Burials were made between June 1915 and October 1918 and they reflect the presence of the 49th (West Riding), the 38th (Welsh) and other infantry divisions in the northern sectors of the Ypres Salient, as well as the advance of artillery to the area in the autumn of 1917. After the Armistice, 46 graves were brought in to Plot IV, Row C, from the immediate area, including 32 from MARENGO FARM CEMETERY (this was located a few hundred metres to the south of Bard Cottage, on the same side of the road. It was used from June 1915 to August 1916). There are now 1,639 Commonwealth casualties of the First World War buried or commemorated in this cemetery. 39 of the burials are unidentified but special memorials commemorate three casualties known to be buried among them. The cemetery was designed by Sir Reginald Blomfield.

Good morning If you were able too, i would be pleased to obtain info on Edward`s mother`s details. She is believed to be Annie Higgins nee Crouch who possibly married Edward Higgins who sadly died in the first world war.I am also told there may well be connections to the Barclay estates, who may have connections ,or be the owners of the island of Sark and could have had family on the isle of wight. I know this may look vague at present but your help is apreciated ,and i will at some point look at advice already given. On behalf of Pat Andrews ,Glenn
