Harriett Church born c1831 Lynham Wilts
Children: Mark Church born 1852 Lyneham and John Church born 1858, Cricklade, Wilts. 1861 census shows them living in Cricklade Union Workhouse. Believe at John's birth Harriett was shown as single woman!
Mark married Ellen Ford in 1872
Children were Arthur, William, Emily, Albert, Bessie, Kate and Ellen
Any help getting back past Harriett much appreciated

The 1851 census has a Harriet Church (mistranscribed Chenet with a correction to Church). She' s 20 born and living in Burbage. Her parents are William & Honour. Father seems to be quite well off, a farmer of 400 acres employing 7 men, 4 women and 3 boys, making one wonder why his daughter ended up in a workhouse. If indeed it's her!

Just noticed on the 61 census it says that Harriet is married so Church isn't her maiden name?
