Was Mulliner her maiden or married name?

Ann

Ann Report 7 Jun 2009 15:54

Hi Mulliner was her married name and I think it may have been in Shropshire, not sure as I do not know anything about my mothers family only her mom and dad.
Hope that helps
Thanks for your help

was the death I gave any use?

were William & Ann your mother's grandparents or parents? If you are not sure of names it would be best to start with you mothers birth certificate or her parents marriage so that you could find them on a census.

I can't find a William & Ann on the 1881 census (free to search). All the Ann's in the right time frame seem to be married to a Thomas

Hi there Ann - I realise you are new at this but you have rather a lot of postings about Mulliner - would have been far better to have just the one

Hi sorry about that but I have not got a clue about my mother's family and I am lost on where to go.

HI Ann

so that I can try to help further please could you answer the questions I asked. I have read through one of your other Mulliner threads & wondered if i should have been looking for a Thomas / Ann marriage rather than William / Ann

Ann Report 7 Jun 2009 18:22

Hi sorry I thought I had sent a reply to you. The date of Ann's death matches up to the age of when she died. I was told she was in her forty's when she died. I think you are right as I went onto a free website and it has come up as Ann and Thomas had a son callled William Mulliner and my grandmother Miriam did have a brother with that name.
Thanks for your help

Sorry I meant to say my grandad Thomas Mulliner had a brother called William not my grandmother. I bet you think I am daft giving you the wrong information but my grandmother also had a brother William.

thanks Ann
I know how confusing it can get with names when each alternate generation - or even each generation - keeps using the same ones (mine are William & John!)

so is this a possible for the marriage ( though wrong county)

Hi I really am not sure as mother just does not know what her grandparents name were. Well Natwich is in Cheshire and that is not very far from Shropshire where one of them may have come from. Really it is on the border. My Grandad was born in Shropshire so they may have moved to Shropshire when thay got married. I will try and find out on a free web site. Thanks for your help.
