Sentence Date 9 Mar 1848...................from earlier post on here
Sorry, Jane, but George is not related to you..............you can only follow the Taylor line beyond William
Elizabeth was baptised 17/11/1822. Father William, mother Elizabeth
1841 census records their birth years as 1776 and 1786 respectively, but…….remember that in 1841 ages of over-15’s were routinely rounded down to nearest 5.

George's wife and family in 1851.........no help with his whereabouts, obviously.
I doubt very much that you will be able to find any info about him, unless you obtain a copy of his death cert, which should have an address at least.

George died in 1891 aged 72 (reg 599). Can't see his wife or child, perhaps they did not join him. Possible she remarried in UK.
His description on Perth dps states he was single, with one child. He was a miller by trade, 5' 7.5", light brown sandy hair, blue eyes, oval face, fair skin, sandy whiskers.
Hashemy was the 2nd of 37 shiploads of male convicts to WA.

I'm assuming this is the convict record you are referring to in which George was sentenced to 14 years?
Name: George Herring Vessel: Hashemy Convicted Date: 9 Mar 1848 Voyage Date: 19 Jul 1850 Colony: Western Australia Piece: HO 11/16 Place of Conviction: Nottingham County of Conviction: Nottingham
If you google western australia bmd, there is a site with helpers, for a fee of course!
Regards Linda :)
