Jean, what a bolt out of the blue this was. I had forgotten I had posted this information, but many thanks for seeing it. |

I think the Mary Ann Turner, visitor aged 26,in 1891, must be the daughter of one of Rebecca's brothers, but as yet have not found her birth. Still looking, but off now to fo the tea. Will have to be salad in this heat |

Many thanks to you all. Astra, yes that is the one in 1881 I mentioned. It states John as being born in Cowbridge, America, and this was what put me off it being the correct one. |

This must be the 1881 you mentioned. I just think the information has been transferred incorrectly. Alfred is there although his age is out he was born in Sutton Cambs. |

Many thanks Wayne/Tracey, perhaps the enumerator didn't know how to spell Cheese. Can you find them on any subsequent census. |

I have been very kindly sent a copy of the marriage certificate of the two above named persons. Rebecca was born in 1826/7 daughter of Daniel Turner, and she married John Cheesewright in 1852, in Whittlesey,Cambs. I have never been able to find either of them on a census, after the marriage, though I have a copy of a couple of the same names in the 1881. However, I do not think these are the same people. |
