Opinions please on reading census writing! Please can anyone have a look at Census for FARNBOROUGH in WARWICKSHIRE:info re: William Berry-age 50-then Thomas-age14- then Sarah-age 8...but what is name of oldest son-age 15...to me it looks like Lot...but not atall sure.Any ideas greatly welcome !! Thanks every one !!!

could be him...a lot of immigration to USA in those days.Birth date a bit different to 1841 census though---mind you,that doesnot always mean anything.I'm sure many of them just guessed at how old they were !!!!

i dont think its him actually...there is one born around the same time in yorkshire!

Roy: in 1841 ages where always rounded down. for example those aged 15- 20 where noted as 15, 20 -25 as 20 and so forth so d o b would be approx guesses

oh well...those Berry's were all from Warwickshire area,all farming people for gererations...mind you,anyone can move !
