Find Ancestors

My 2x great grandfather was an Emmanuel Cliff and was born in Runcorn in 1858 his parents where Thomas Cliff and Mary Onion/s.I know Emmanuel married in 1877 to Isabella Gray who was born in Scotland,my question really is he only shows up in the 1901 census and its the year he died.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thats where I have been getting confused it must have been mis-transcribed as Samuel doh

Are these Emmanuels parents,I have just had a quick look on Ancestry and they look the more likely ones.I still can't find a marriage for them though.

I think that I may have found the marriage for Ellen the possible daughter from my earlier post.

Ellen Cliff marries a John Wilkinson
1868 Northwich volume 8a page 341

It looks like her parents Thomas and Mary where having children for around 25 years
