Does anybody have any relatives who were related to Thomas Winskill Born at Barnard Castle on 19th January 1834 also John Winskill B 4th March 1834 also Ann B 23rd March 1839 and Sarah B 25th February 1851 also Jane B May 20th 1832 and their parents Henry & Ann both born in Kirkby Thore and married on 8th Sept. 1831 in Kirkland Nr Penrith would be grateful for any further information on descendants of these please

If annie Winskill 1886 is his mother then Barbara Winskill is his maternal grandmother not Mary surely?

williams mum was annie winskill who was born 1886 in
kirkby thore. there was no fathers name on both babtisim
and birth certificate.




It is helpful to give all the information you have available on your original post.

From Brian. hi vivienne. mary telford [nee winskill] was william's maternal grandmother, she is listed on the 1881
kirkby thore census as the daughter of thomas and barbara
winskill,horse and jockey public house [born 1866]. annie is
listed on the 1891 census as barbara's grandaughter aged 05.
this proves that mary and annie are grandmother and grandaughter. also horse and jockey pub.
i also have a copy of williams birth cert,stating that annie winskill
is the mother of william born 1909 kirkby thore. there is no record
of a father's name

hi all. i am trying to find out about the early childhood years of a
person called william winskill,born 1909 kirkby thore cumbria.
his mum was annie winskill who married a man called arthur
davies in 1927 nantwich and the lived at 42 marsh lane untill 1960-68. annie's son william came to live in liverpool in the 1920's with his grandmother mary telford, also from kirkby thore.
there was talk that william spent his early childhood in salford
but i have no proof. if this is true then there must be names and
addresses where william lived in salford.
