I have used Helens suggestion before using the advanced search and in surname going through the alphabet

I was able to find someone living in another household with a different surname. I found he was with his uncle and family

If you look at marriages on free BMD

he possibly married an ADA , after 1901

if you search the 1911 for Ada with Variants ,with Charles { Adah with an extra H}

he is there


with,Charles w e, Frederick s and Harold in Blaby

If you buy the transcript for £1 you can see all the details.

but having found him correctly in the beginning all you needed to do .was click on view details.for a result .you'll soon get the hang of it !

if you use the advanced search options on the 1911 you can look for people in Leicester district with surname beg with a, then beg with b etc with a Charles Breward in the same household

just takes a bit of time
