Grace's father, George died in 1933 at Swan Hill aged 64yrs (reg.No. 16912)
his father was Gilbert & mother Mary (possibly WEIR)

Grace's mother, Emily Maria re-married in 1938 (16881) to Albert WARD
and did not die until 1960 (32788) aged 77yrs at THOM (?)
her father was John BAKER & mother Caroline CHAPPLE

Looks like Albert died soon after marriage .. will see what I can find..
EDIT... there was a death of an Albert aged 66yrs in 1940 at H'Berg. ???

This is the same address as daughter Dorothy Margaret who married Raymond George PUTT.

If Emily lived with her daughter until her death then possible this daughter was also the informant on the death certificate and should know if Grace was still alive.

Looks like Grace's father died between 1931 & 1936, as on the 1936 & 1937 Electoral rolls her mother, Emily Maria, is living at 29 Comc St., Alphington (Melbourne) the same address as William Arthur Pascoe, who married Grace's sister Melvina in 1936.

I will see if I can find the death of Emily between 1937 & 1943 ( the next year for the electoral roll).

If Grace did die, and if she died before Emily it should be listed on Emily's death certificate.

Firstly I have not been able to find a death for Grace

Her parents were George Mc Caw and Emily Maria (nee Baker)
they were married in 1904 in NSW but marriage registered in Vic. .. reg no. 2501

Just one last thought I wonder would it be possible to find the death details of Charles' wife Grace Muriel McCaw which might shed some light on if they had any children as his death cert said 'not married' unfortunately the marriage cert does not give any ages so I dont know dob.

I'm sorry to say that the paper in 1933 did not have any birth, death nor marriage notices.

Lots of farming info and ads. but nothing much to help a family researcher.

It looks like the informant of his death didn't know anything about his marriage.

YES he did marry in Swan Hill Parish Church on 3rd Oct 1933
it would be great if you could find out any more info while your there, and there is still the question why the death cert stated that he was not married but he died in Preston?

I am actually going to Swan Hill tomorrow and MIGHT be able to find his marriage notice in the local paper.

Typed in Vaughan, Charles and reg no. 11745

and got 1 result

However, if I type in Vaughan, Charles Rowland.... then there is no result. !

I have double checked the bmd cd and it definitely states "Charles Rowland" but maybe there has been a problem with the transcription.

Sorry to bother you but I have a problem regarding the above info.
I have recieved a death cert from the Austrailian RO, but on it it states that he was not married which seems strange as your info includes Marriage info.
I didnt order a marriage cert at the same time as that info should have been on the death cert but where this info should be it says 'Not married'
Therefore I have tried to order a marriage cert using the above info, but it keeps coming back 'no results found' I have tried minimising the info I put in but it keeps coming back the same.
I was wondering can you tell me whats going on here could he have been Divorced but I suppose the Death cert would have included that, or, am I doing something wrong?

Australian death certififates usually have a lot of extra info, including a list of children, with ages at the time of the death.

I am trying to find any info on the family of Charles Rowland Vaughan born in Newport Pembrokeshire on 2/10/1912 parents were Benjamin and Maria Vaughan of Forest farm Newport. I have a Passenger list Record of him and a male friend emigrating to Melbourne Austrailia on 28/May 1927 but nothing was heard from him for 50 yrs until apparently he turned up on his brothers doorstep who refused to have anything to do with him and he left again to where nobody knows maybe he went back to Austrailia ?
I would like to find out whether he had any family in Austrailia as I seem to be unable to get any further, and what eventually happened to him after turning up on his bros doorstep?
I will appreciate any help anybody can give me.
