Could also be them. It says he had a son Edward, That was my grandfathers name. William was also in the navy so he could have been a stoker on his ship?

found a Helen Hinkley marriage to a James White in 1870 in Portsea Island, is that possibly the marriage you seek?

Was wondering if anyone could help me find my great grandparents marriage certificate . I gave up looking for a while but recently decided to have another look. Here are the details:

Ellen/Helen HINKLEY , Born approx 1850 PORTSMOUTH

William WHITE, Born approx 1845 Ireland

William was in the navy but we know he settled with Ellen/Helen in Portsmouth.
