Member Since: December 2005 Posts: 2 Send Message	Hi, I am trying to trace my maternal grandmothers' family. Her maiden name was Maud, Maria Roberts (or possibly Maria Maud) Her father was Robert Francis Roberts (born 1856) and her mother was Sarah Elizabeth (nee Stretton b1857) Roberts' parent were James and Harriet Anne Roberts. Sarahs' parents were Joseph and Harriet Maud Stretton. The only clue I have of place of origin is a photo of James taken in a studio in Wem. I believe that Robert Roberts was a railway clerk and that there was a family connection with coal mining. My mother thought that this branch of the family originated in Llanelly. Would really be pleased if anyone could give me any info on missing dates, as I would dearly like to delve further back into the Welsh side of the family. Best wishes, Rob.
