Some of the information was on Marions other thread . Marion does not know the name of the aunt and uncle who brought her up as you can see from her first post.
Also Marions cousin has given her some of the information which Marion is trying to confirm.

I dont know if this will help but there is a birth for Annie Tedstone Fletcher 1889 Leominster and Elizabeth Tedstone Perkins 1891 Toxteth Park. Perhaps Jessie wasnt born as Tedstone

Hi Madmeg ,I can't find where I read that Jessie lived with jennie hall nee Bradford but it was something written by Maureen Richardson who is the same person asking about this thread.

Found it,it was Ancestry.co.uk message boards.I googled tedstone family from Halesowen and that result came up.

I get the impression that Marian has sent bits of information to others people via PM, so some people have knowledge that others don't have (including me!).

It seems she remembers her grandmother well, and that she was brought up by the Hadley family (supposedly aunt and uncle) until her teens, and then moved to Lancashire to live with Jennie Hall, probably also an aunt, sister of Annie (Hadley).

I've gone round in circles a bit with this, but perhaps we will get there.

Nope, I am not really getting anywhere. The Hadley family appear also in 1911, still with Jessie Ledstone age 18, born Quarry Bank, Staffordshire, living in Halesowen. Sadly his marriage in Stourbridge in Sept 1907 is one of those with two grooms and only one bride. I tried her being Annie Ledstone/Tedstone but it didn't find anything.

In order to try to prove that the Jessie living with the Hadleys is the right one, you do need to get that birth certificate, also in Stourbridge.

I found the marriage of a Thomas Tedstone to Mary Jane Bradford in Bromsgrove but haven't found her sister Jennie Hall on any census, with a Jessie with her.

I've also looked for deaths of Thomas and Mary Jane, but Thomas is likely the one still in Bromsgrove in 1911 with a wife Annie. But he is a bricklayer, not a groom domestic or similar.

Mary, where have you found a Jessie living with Jennie Hall please?

Marion said in her first post her grandmother Jessie told her her parents died when she was young and she was brought up by her uncle and aunt.

Marion was trying to find the names of this couple and Hadley was suggested because a Jessie was living with them

Marian now has the marriage cert and it has Jessie marrying William Conroy in Haslingden, Lancashire in Sept 1921. Jessie is 26. Fahtr is Thomas Tedstone, a Groom Domestic.

Marian, why do you think Jessie was connected with the Hadley family? Please not just because you found a Jessie Ledstone living with them, as I have just done.

Right guys, got Jessie Tedstone's marriage cert. All info I had came from my cousin. The cert gives her age when married to William Conroy in Sept 1921 in Haslingden, as 26, which would not make it 1894 as I was told. Her father was named as Thomas Tedstone, no mention of middle name Frederick, but occupation groom, domestic. I do believe that she was the Jessie Ledstone, niece to the Hadley family, all the names she mentioned in the family tie up. So now its a different ball game. I'm totally confused as to which avenue to go down. Can anyone help find out who her parents were. My cousin wanted to try and get her birth cert to help me but, I think I should get it myself, who do I apply to and do I just have to give the quater vol and page number? You should send for the birth of Jessie Tedstone who was born Sept quarter 1892 in Stourbrige 6c 203

Thomas Tedstone married Mary Jane Bradford in 1892 in Bromsgrove 6c 627
Jessie lived with a Jennie Hall nee Bradford and called her mother.
Could Jennie also be Mary Jane?
Too much of a coincidence for them not to be the same family don't you think?

You need to try to find her in 1901. If you let us have her name and place of birth we can have a go, assuming you do not have access to census reports yourself. Alternatively you can do a search on 1911 census, the basic search is free.
