Thanks very much for your help, this has saved me a HUGE headache, it now seems that for whatever reason on the Marriage Cert, Margaret McLean may of been the name of her Step Mother and m.s Sutherland referring to the surname of her deceased mother.

Also looks like her father James did re-marry to a Margaret Blyth, in 1867 in Edinburgh and had a further 3 children.

Again thanks one in a million for the help involved.
