i wonder if anyone can spot what i can,t been looking ages even with soundtex for the 1901 census for
james bean born 1891 bradford west yorkshire i have found him on the 1911 census but hes married by then & living with his parents & his wife & daughter lilian

It states that Mary Emma is the wife of John so her age must have been mistranscribed.

yes i saw that one too but on the original written census on the 1911 census it says that john & mart only had 1 child & 1 child still living so i discounted the family found as there were more children i wonder if the census could be wrong ??

everything else tallies cos the widow grace on the 1911 census above is mary,s mother as i found a marrige for mary elizabeth boyes in 1891 marrying john bean & james was born later in 1891

Could well be a relation then.
They were not living at 29 Violet Street in 1901.

Have you found any of them in 1891. Cant seem to find the Bean or the Boyes family.

Re the 1901 Sharon found - could fit if Mary wed a widower with kids, or she were a widow with kids

woop woop got it it was john who married after he became a widow he married mary jane brodie in 1880 they had agnes & harriett & mary j died in 1889 & he married mary e lizabeth boyes in 1891 & had my james in late 1891 john did,t waste anytime lol

ps was getting confused with mary j & mary e so the 1911 census was right they only did have 1 child james cos the others were to john,s first wife gosh bet there having a good laugh at me trying to sort this one out

Looks like he may have got a sentence of 7 years for Larceny which would explain the big gap between the birth of William in 1849 and John.

The dates just about fit too?
