If you know his daughter Emma's exact birthdate this means you have her birth certificate?

If so you have her mother's name?

Could you not provide that then? Is he with his wife and children in the censuses? If you have that information it does make more sense for you to give it than for others to go looking for it!

Getting his marriage certificate would give you his father's name which would be a great boon for looking for a birth and for him in the 1841 census.

I am trying to find a birthdate or parents for a George Michie (c1826)-listed in the 1861(Surrey)and 1871(surrey) census' as being born in Shere, Surrey.

I can't find any earlier info on him apart from a possible marriage.(see below)

I've found a possible marriage for him in 1852 in Fordingbridge (this may be incorrect)
I've found a possible death for him in 1897(Guildford)

His daughters were :
Emma Jane(17/Oct/1861)(Surrey)
Emily c1864 (I have a possible birth record entry)(guildford)
Louisa? c1867 (I have a possible birth record entry)(guildford)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Emma Jane
