Hope it gives you a few more leads

BUT

without the certificates to confirm, it is only supposition and could be horribly wrong!

Assuming Frederick didn't die in WWI ( and there are a lot of F or Frederick Clarkes listed on the CWGC casualties site - www.cwgc.org)

I searched for marriages 1917 - 1935, Salford on

Freebmd.org.uk.....FREE to search so do try it out!

Surname First name(s) Spouse District Vol Page
Marriages Mar 1919 (>99%)
Clarke Frederick Lund Salford 8d 19

Marriages Sep 1919 (>99%)
Clarke Frederick Brandrick Salford 8d 266

Marriages Sept 1922 (>99%)
CLARKE Frederick J Adey Salford 8d 187

Marriages Dec 1931 (>99%)
Clarke Frederick Robinson Salford 8d 713 -
Clarke Frederick E Stott Salford 8d 557 -

Unless someone can come up with parish records, to verify father's name, it is going to be expensive for you to check each record out.

Only order them from gro.gov.uk, specify father's name and you would get a partial refund for those that don't fit.

Some of the upside downers/night owls might be able to take over.
