Hi maureeninNY thanks for the info you sent me, i would like to go backwards from edward searle and elizabeth oates. I was told by one of my late fathers sisters that there are 2 family bibles in circulation somewhere but as of now no one knows where they are. I think that edwards father and grandfather were both called richard but am nit certain. Any info would help. |

The "Green" like the "Baker" are from the statisticians tally after the census. That's really what it was for! |

A limpet is a very chewy shellfish which attach themselves to rocks and quaysides. They are devils to get off. |

Still looks more like Fruit to me but the GREEN (whatever it means) written across it obscures much of it. |

Right. Fruit. Would make sense with the stats being "Green". |

The original image on the 1911 says that Edward had 21 children only 8 of which are living. And I queried it because of William's age but on the original he is down as 33 not 23 which is about right. |

Couldn't make it out on the 1901 so checked it on the 1891. More like Fruit Dealer on the 1901 |

Hi, i am trying to find relatives of Harry Searle born 1894 @ Well Street, Callington. I believe he was the youngest of a large family. |
