If you don't have a birth certificate for Frank, how do you know that his mother's name was Mary Ann Wybrow, please?

Yes I know I have entered three names, this is because I am banging my head against a brick wall.
Last year I asked for help to trace my grand father (I will call him Frank as that is what his wife called him, this may not be the name that he was given). Frank doesn't seem to have a birth certificate, it could be his family didn't register him at birth. I have now applied for six birth certificates, they have all come back incorrect match. Baptism information shows that he was registerd by his father Michael Cole and his step mother Elizaberth Nicholas, the date of birth on this baptism FORM SHOWING HIS BIRTH incorrect. I am trying to locate any army informaton, example army records of pension and discharge papers would be of great help. Of course I do not have a correct date of birth so I cannot get this. I have tried looking at births in Saint Pancras England for the years 1865-75 I had no joy. On Franks marriage certificate it is is stated married to Annie Colins 1903 his father Michael Cole had died. Micheal died around 1900. Micheal Cole born 1832 married Mary Ann Wybrow 1855 Mary Ann Wybrow is the mother of Frank .He married Elizabeth around 1879 Frank and Annie lived with three of their children Little George Street Saint Pancras 1911 CENSUS STATE THIS. During the 1920's they lived in Drummond Street, Euston, Saint Pancras. I was informed by a family member that Frank would always wear a kilt and he told her he was a cook, he also said he was in the Black Watch, I do not know if this information is true. On the 1911 census list he has stated his age not a date of birth working this date out would mean he was born in the year 1871. On his marriage certificate it only states an age no date of birth working this out he would have been born 1873. Census lists give other years. Please read the information on my thread contact from last year Set., Oct., 2009 .
Frank worked on the railway Saint Pancras station after the war and during the 1920's.
Is there any one who can help me to get the correct army reference number is there a way of tracing Frank pensions records through his wife Annie Collins? If you are able to give me any advice as to where I should look and to whom I should contact, I would be so pleased. The tracking of my grand father has taken over my life, I have spent hours and hours on the internet looking for inforamtion, I even signed up for ancestry.com and I can't find informaton on him, apart from the marriage date, and seeing his name on census lists. After six trys of a birth certificate, I have taken it the birth was not registerd.
If you can help me and you wish to look at my tree please contact me. I thank everyone who is reading this and has the time to help me.
