I am looking for the details of a William Wilfred Gladdish. Fathers name Stephen. I cant find his birth or his family on census. Should be somewhere in Kent. He married in 1920 giving his age as 24. I see that his military records are on ancestry but I dont have access. If anybody can help me with this it would be great. Thanks |

thank you for that. Not sure if that would be the correct one though. The age would be 3 years out. I know I cant eliminate it just yet though |

Well spoted Christine as his army records show 23 last birthday in one of his forms on Ancestry and he served 1916 - 1919 so looks about right. Irene |

Further on in the service records father had been crossed out and brother written but the name is the same. |

Name looks to have been Cladish originally. It's Cladish in 1891 and when Stephen marries Harriet. |

thank you all for your responses. I am just going through them all now. Seems strange how his name changes from Cladish to Gladdish. Definately Gladdish on marriage certificate. Looks like the correct family has been found in 1911 strood |
