If we believe the marriage year from 1911, this is possible:

The Blanch birth is above Rae. Spelling difference insignificant, obviously the same Blanche. No MMN shows till 1912.

Furton is just a mis-transcription. Have sent correction.

Sorry of I am sounding a little thick but is Furton an alternative spelling as far as records are concerned? Its the first time I have seen this but if this is them then THANKS SO MUCH, that is fascinating.

I have found a birth record for a blanch turton 1892 (jan-Mar) but strangely enough, unless my eyesight is failing (more) it is spelt BLANCH. no E.

However it does not show mothers maiden name.

I really am at a dead end. Unfortunately I have a huge tree on the Ancestry site and then one here and im loosing track.

Turton seems to be proving more difficult that I had thought to research.

I cant believe that I had not thought about looking for Elizabeth instead of ELiza.

Can't see an obvious marriage. "Eliza" is a real pain, can be Elizabeth too of course. You might need the birth cert for this one!

Hi again all.

I am stuck! (again) I am still trying to locate anyone with any onfo regarding the surname TURTON as it appears not as common as I thought.

In particular I have a John Turton (c 1866) who I need to find his wife (poss. Eliza ??????) They had children- Issabella, John, Albert and Blanche.

The main problem I have is that although as far as this particular Turton is concerned all roads lead to Nottingham, I have a suspician that I may be missing something somewhere as Yorkshire has been mentioned in the past. ANY help re this or any other Nottingham Turton, info would be so very very welcomed.

I am trying to find any info regarding the family Turton. Possibly a John F, married to Booth father of Dennis Turton who married a lady called Eatherington.
