Kay, you threw me by asking for info on Mrs Agnes Mower.

As Jan says, try looking for yourself, it does give a lot of pleasure.

Good luck.

Kay, why not have a go finding marriages for the above? It's much more fun to do this yourself, and indeed the results posted on here will then make much more sense.

Have a go, play around and see what happens!

Oh we got it wrong way around and thought it was Charles Mower who married Emma Chapman. Not Emma Mower who married Charles Chapman. Agnes and Charles are brother and sister along with, John William Mower 21
Emily Mower 12
Lavinia Mower 10
Robert Mower 3
Beatrice Mower 1
John W Mower, the head of the family, was married twice first to an Emma Mower and then to a Hannah Malham. We think that Emma Mower must of died in child birth to Agnes as she was born in the same month as her mother died. Is there any way that i can find out for definate?

Any information on the children :
John William Mower 21
Agnes Mower 14
Emily Mower 12
Lavinia Mower 10
Charles Herbert Mower 6
Robert Mower 3
Beatrice Mower 1
would be great :)
Thanks A lot
Kay x

No Kay - the Charles in the above marriage is Charles Chapman who married Emma Mower. This is how the entries are presented on freebmd.

If you are looking for a Charles Mower who married an Agnes, can you give us some dates please? Is this him?

Kay, I would say maybe you put too much in. 1911 is particularly fussy about birthplace I find. I tend to put just name and birth year with a margin of 3 years, then whittle it down. I never put anything more specific than county for birthplace, and only so that if there are huge numbers! Putting a name of another inhabitant can work well though..
Sometimes the freesearch is better - a lot of people find potential relatives that way then go to the subscription site to check it out. I often have them running side-by-side.

Who are Charles and Agnes?

PS if I disappear, it's to prepare dinner!

Kay Report 3 Mar 2010 18:11

I put in Albert Mower and his Date of birth and where he was born. I also tried his wife Elizabeth Mower and their daughter Emma, but it came up with no matches. Charles Mower is Albert Mowers half brother.

All this is from freebmd site.
Assuming you are asking about this:

Births Dec 1932 (94%)
Hogg John A Mower Prescot 8b 1023a

name is John Hogg, mothers's maiden name Mower.

brummiejan Report 3 Mar 2010 18:00

That's the only 1911 there is. What exactly did you put in your search?

Good bet for Gertrude:

Mower Gertrude Hogg Bramley 9b 596

This is from freebmd. It is possible to search for resulting offspring too as you probably know.

There are 2 avenues you can go down. The first is to look for others with the same ancestors in their trees - use "search trees" box above.
The second is to bring the generations forward until you can search for living relatives, on electoral register or 192.com.
This involves finding marriages for the children if you can.

Just in passing, I suspect this is the marriage of Albert and Elizabeth:

Marriages Jun 1898 (>99%)
Ashworth George Hunslet 9b 557
BALME Elizabeth Hunslet 9b 557
Fleming Sarah Hunslet 9b 557
Mower Albert James Hunslet 9b 557
