Roberts parents were Henry Cross and Elizabeth Gardner also known and Betty I have roberts birth certificate, I do have Henry's parents as William and Mary but i did not know Mary's maiden name

	Alice on the 1871 census says she is in Suffolk but thats their mistake. It is definately the same family in the trees on Ancestry. They have relations on Roberts family born in macclesfield also gone to Stoke on trent in 1861. Roberts parents Henry 1811 Poulton died Stoke 1875 Elizabeth Stanton 1815 henry's parents William 1770-1831 Mary Law 1773 Do they ring a bell? Maryb Alice was also in Stoke 1861

Member Since: March 2004 Posts: 15 Send Message	Maryb many thanks but Robert and Alice's first child was John but he was born in Stoke-on-Trent and they never lived in Suffolk by 1861 Robert had moved from Fleetwood to Stoke-on-Trent with his family and how he met Alice who lived in Macclesfield I have yet to find out

	I got there names off tree on ancestry,but i haven't found the marriage myself as yet. Maryb. Alice Amy was born in Macclesfield to Charles T and mary A 1861 they are in Stoke on trent and 1871 Suffolk. Robert and alice Amy's first child i think was John born Suffolk about 1873/4 They also had elizabeth who married frederick W Copstake and had a child 1901.
