Find Ancestors

I am trying to locate the following family on the 1841 & 1851 census.
Charles Thirtle with wife Charlotte not sure of their birth years
children William b1822, Charles 1824, John 1826, George 1828, Mary 1830,Sarah 1832, James 1834 & Harriet 1837. John through to Harriet were baptised in Roughton Norfolk.

Any help would be appreciated.

It is possible he could have died. I did think of that and have been looking through Roughton burials on familysearch, but haven't found anything for Charles or Charlotte.

Never thought of checking for another marriage, thank you. I will take a look on ancestry for a Charlotte Brundle or Webb.

EDIT.. found David Brundle with Elizabeth, so Charlotte must have married George Webb. Cannot locate them on census either.

I have checked on Ancestry 1871 census and that is Mary Thirtle marrying Joseph Burt and I have also found the marriage of Charles Thirtle 1855 to Ann Elizabeth Loads on freebmd. So that accounts for two of the children. Thanks to you.

I do already have George's marriage to Sarah Davidson, just waiting for that cert to arrive and also know that John married Ann Gray.

I would love to find Charles and Charlotte on the censuses as it would help me find their places and approx years of birth.

Glitter Babe you are a star!

George Goss that you found on the 1851 census with niece Mary is the correct family. Charlottes maiden name was Goose, so with your great help I have been able to locate Georges baptism in Felmingham on familysearch. Not yet found Charlottes though :-(.

Found Charlottes baptism in Erpingham. She was baptised Charlotte Overton illegitimate daughter of Mary Overton in 1801. Mary married John Goose a month after Charlottes baptism.

Can anyone find Charlotte or Charles on the censuses?

There is a marriage of a Charles Thirtle to a Charlotte Goose 13/11/1821 Banningham. Could this be them?

Yes that is them. I have found the marriage on familysearch the witnesses were George Thirtle & Mary Ann Goose. Still cant find them on the censuses though. Can't see that both of them would have died between their daughter Harriet being born in 1837 and the 1841 census. Oh well, will keep looking.

Thanks for the other marriages too, I will look at them, Erpingham is not on familysearch which is a shame.

John, married to Ann, is also living in Upper Street.

District 6a Southrepps is Upper Street. Searched right through but couldn't find anybody who looked like Charlotte or the younger children.

District 6b is Lower Street. Nobody there either.

All the reg'n districts for the deaths are the ones where they were found on their last census record.

Now here's something interesting.

In 1861, Joseph Burt who is to marry Mary Thirtle is visiting these people.
