Hi,

I can only go on what I find, it looks like it's her, but too be 100% sure would be impossible.

Does she have an occupation on her marriage certificate? If so is she a cotton weaver?

It does state that Margaret is single......... so the chances of illegitimacy is high.

So it looks like John Bridge married Mary Hall who already had 2 daughters Ann (Hannah) and Alice.......... this would make margaret Bridge William Grimes sister in law when he married Alice Hall.

Hi Mel,

already tried that.......... couldn't pinpoint them or John Bridge.

Quite frustrating really!!! I looked for a marriage for Mary Hall and John Bridge, didn't see one either........... it doesn't mean that they actually married though, if one or both of them were married previously and the other spouse was still alive then they wouldn't be able to marry..... quite a common practice back then as divorce was out of reach for the mere mortals!!!
