People here can probably help you. but have you tried asking Mr Rhodes if he would be willing to give you details of some of the hidden relatives? Perhaps he would be willing to act as a go-between?

Are you wanting to contact them, or is it purely for research purposes?

If you have already been given some names of 'living relatives', you could try looking them up on

www.thephonebook.bt.com
or
the electoral rolls on 192.com.

The Phonebookbt is free to use, but although 192.com is free to search, it is pay to view.

If you have the death indexes for the deceased siblings of your father, it might be worth purchasing the certificates as the deaths might have been registered by a next of kin.

If you are happy to give here, the names of Elsie Rhodes siblings, we might be able to find marriages and grandchildren (the latter would be off board as they are probably still living)

We can probably find the siblings ourselves, but it's quicker if you let us know what your DO know, so we don't duplicate efforts.
