I am trying to trace my husbands grandparents, his grandad was called William cochrane McCracken he was born in cockermouth area in approx 1896, his farther was a police constable (named Andrew) and so was he he married Mary Eleanor smith in approx 1919, they had 4 daughters Elsie born 1920 Edith Abt 1922 Margret born 1924 and Agnus born 1930 all somewhere in Cumbria my farther in law was born in Tebay Cumbria on 18-3-1935, I have his birth cirtificate but cannot find any more info that that stated can anyone help please |
