I think this is death of father and we do have two of them.
Probably didnt marry(lived together) Mary Ann Starling - but had my ggggreat grandmother Mary Ann Zoe Rigley and a son Henry Adolphus Rigley.
Waiting to hear from other genes member about her info on Sophia + Frances if she definate on their parents being Henry A Rigby+Mary Ann Starling.
Then how to fit the marriage of Emilia Perry in 1839, I really don't know unless with is occupation down as a gentleman on baptism of Mary Ann Zoe - he is married to Emilia no children? and Mary Ann his mistress ? has his children?

No evidence of Henry born out wedlock , except another genes member having him on their tree as Henry Rigley Starling, and she only has Sophia and Frances Rigley.
While I only had Mary Ann Zoe Rigley on my tree .

Do you think Henry Rigley father on baptism record of Mary Ann Zoe is not Henry Adolphus Rigley?
Also that Sophia+Frances not her siblings ?
Googled his name he was a Lawyer and another person has put 1851 he was in prison for insolvency! then died 1857 or am I mixing father and son up all the time - Henry Adolphus senior and Henry Adolphus Junior ? I only have access to FreeBMD and cannot see the birth H A junior . Really confused Jayne

if you just google Henry Adolphus Rigley and nothing else you will see a few items relating to the person of the same name. Essex records has a purchase of land with his name attached......which they were selling on E-Bay!

With the 3 children have you found them after 1851 on the census...minus Henry?

EDIT..forgot to say seems like all posters are looking for this marriage........so maybe they just lived together.

I really think there are two Henry Adolphus Rigley now as I believe my Henry died 1857 in Shoreditch and was married to Mary Ann Starling.
The "other" Henry must be younger and married Emilia Perry then when she died 1870, he married again 1871 in Hackney.
I think my Mary Ann Starling had a son Henry Starling in1839, maybe out of wedlock, then married Henry and had Mary Ann Zoe Rigley, 1844 and Sophia Maria Rigley 1853 and Frances Rigley 1857. Then Henry died.
Just cannot find the marriage.
Thats as much as I can work out.
