Because of the date and popularity of the name, I am having trouble tracing my great great grandfather WILLIAM FISH.
A birth and/or marriage certificate data will answer a lot of questions.
William was born 1846 in possibly Enfield.
Married MARY GODFREY (1842) in Hackney in 1866.
Lived at 35 Scott st. Bethnal Green, after 1871.
23 Quaker st. Spitafields 1871 census.
Was a carman by trade.
Died C1890 possibly in Hackney.

Flick, although the names match, I can't connect the birth years.

The only marriage I can find at the moment for Charles Fish is to Mary Darlow in 1845 in Edmonton.
Is there any further information that can confirm this is the correct marriage. There is no marriage in the Hackney/Enfield area for Charles Fish to a Mary that I have been able to find as yet.
