Findingmypast Report 17 May 2010 15:47

This is a very big longshot & very vague - but here goes :

Joseph Johnson, believed to have been born about 1838 / 1840 possibly in Worcester - Birmingham areas, son of Nathaniel Johnson & ?

On Joseph's marriage cert. to Sarah Starkey ( King's Norton 30 April 1860 ) he is 21 & living in Balsall Heath ( then Worcestershire - Birmingham from 1912 ) & is a carpenter, with Nathaniel as a shoe maker.

Can anyone please find Joseph on 1841/1851 census', hopefully with his parents -or maybe widowed mother ?

Thanks everyone , i know it looks bad but it really is all the info. that i have .

Findingmypast

Findingmypast Report 17 May 2010 15:59

i've no idea how to do that , but i have Joseph first in 1871 , then 1881 ,1891 & 1901 with his wife in Birmingham...he is not with her in 1861 ( she is on her own with a visiting sister , in Birmingham).

His occupation is always Carpenter.

I am just hoping to find him as a child & hopefully with his mother.

Thanks.

Sorry Choccy , my mistake , she is with her sister in 1861 ( no Joseph though ).

I also looked at same christening & thought possible until i found a Joseph Johnson Birth reg. Birmingham March 1845 - so thought it may be him....

Nothing at all before 1871 for Joseph can I find that is at all certain..

Johnson Joseph Aston 16 176

And for 2nd choice

Births Mar 1841

Thanks to everyone who joined in the challenge , i am very grateful to you all for your efforts in trying to find the elusive Joseph Johnson as a child - at the moment he will have to remain lost to history as he obviously is not ready to be found just yet !
