b1909 Canada, mother Ada Bell father Alan M Powell both from Stockton area. She married George A Hendry at Bilton Harrogate in 1931.Had four children June Malcolm Anthony and Brian. Lived in Harrogate until 1946. Known to have lived in Derby until her death in Feb 1970. Her grand daughter would like to know from any one who knew her. She left her family in 1946 never to be seen again. Her own family husband and children never new what happened to her. I would appreciate any information.

Sandra If you want to know what happened to her between 1946 and 1970 I doubt that you will get any answers from here, and the likely hood of anyone knowing her and seeing this is virtually nil
But maybe you could return and answer our questions !!!

Jax, I sent Sandra a PM at 5.00 asking her to come back to the board and explaining how to do it, just in case she did not know how. She hasn't replied to me, but has come back to the board and changed her heading and the first couple of sentences. There was no mention of Stockton, Harrogate, Canada or her parents. There was also was not mention of her childrens names, in the original post.

I noticed that too Julia as when I found the death all I had to go on was Della 1970 and Derby but there was only one so that bit was easy

I followed on from yours Jax, though then, I didn't know she was born Canada, couldn't find her birth, found one born in 1906 in the 1911 but have now deleted that.

The Derby connection, and nothing else, was what was prominent in the original posting. So much so, that, that was what caught my eye. I may have been of help, being 'on the spot' as you might say, but with all the other connections, I do not think I will be of any help.

Thank you to all who replied. I know it was a long shot but I thought it worth a try. The recent history seems to be the hardest to trace. Through your responses from the last posting I now have a better picture. The informant on the death certificate was a Wercenty Manicki It would seem he did not know her date of birth or her second christian name or her husbands christian name so I don't think was any one close.
I have been to Derby and looked at the electoral role but could find nothing to help. Whether she was buried or cremated I have no idea.
