Alison, this is the third posting in as many days and on as many threads, re your family. I advised you by PM to return to your thread on the Trying to Find board, on Monday, but you didn't
I will nudge it up for you now on the TTF board, so that all your queries, and the work of all the researches, will be on one thread.

He was only in the Army 16 Days ,joined 17th April 1918 and was discharged 2nd May 1918.

It says he was a shoemaker by trade but not likely to make an efficient soldier.
He had Brown eyes and black hair,he was only 5ft 1in in height.

I hope this is of help to you.

Hi Allison

I subscribe to Ancestry and it was all on his enlistment papers.

There is nothing else there to tell you I am sorry,I did go through a few pages of it but because he was not in the army very long and the war was finished in 1918 anyway.

If it is him and I think it is at least you know his fathers name maybe you can find something through him.
I will have another look on another site for you.

Julia Report 2 Jun 2010 10:07

Alison, I explained all this to you the other day by PM. If you had taken any notice, new or not, and returned to you original thread on the Trying to Find board, which you did not, then you would not have all these threads going, on all the boards. Definitely against GR T & C.

Hi Allison

If you have most of your info on this thread I would delete the others and just stick to one thread on the same subject matter.

I have only seen this thread so it has not affected me.

I find the "Trying to find board" the best and I try to stick to that one.

I know how dif it is when you are new ,we were all new at one time or another.
