I would love help to find out about my great grandparents. all i know is my grandad was called Alan Wood and was born 1922 or 1923 in sunderland and i think his mams maiden name was black. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't see an Alan Wood born in Sunderland with mmn Black.

There are quite a few births Wood mmn Black but no Alan.

Do you have his marriage cert for his father's name?

No i dont have any certificates at the moment, i know he married to Eileen ryall in 1947 if that helps....i also got his name wrong, it was Micheal Anthony not alan. sorry.

A lot of possible siblings, so the marriage found in 1912 could be correct but you need the cert to be sure.

Yeah i will try and get the marriage certificate. Ive just been told he was born on christmas day! Hmmmm..i wonder how true that is! Hehe!

well i recognise the violet in that list as my grandad did have a sister called violet!

He could have been born Christmas Day as the birth was registered in the 1st qtr of 1922 so possibly born Christmas Day 1921.

When did he die as that registration may have his date of birth.
