My helper has deleted her posts after asking if it was ok.

After the free session of Ancestry this weekend I'm even more confused, but seem to have a few extra bits sorted.

I have the birth cert for Jane Keen on 19.1. 1851, her parents are John Keen and Ann formerly Spicer. The family are from Sibford Ferris or Sibford Gower, in Oxfordshire, there are many of them with the same names.

I thought I had found a marriage for this couple some time ago, but can't find it now.
So that's on the list for looking.

From the GRO listing I found they had 3 children, Jane 1851, George 1853, and William (John?) 1855.

I've just found an 1871 census for Ann, with a new family transcribed as 'Sones', but I think it shoud be Lines. She married Thomas Lines in Banbury in Q2 1861 and had more children. Saban 1860, Rhoda 1863, Mary A 1864, Thomas 1866, Edward 1868, Alice 1870 and Herbert 1873. Her son William is living with them in 1871. Daughter Jane has married and moved away.

Would anyone kindly look for the censuses after that so I can trace the family forwards, especially Ann.

I wonder what all that's about, the deaf and dumb? How sad.

After finding rellies in the 1911 census, I'm now trying to identify the early families.

I have Joseph Keen b c1785 in Oxfordshire married to Sarah Batson b c 1790 Oxfordshire.

Their son John Keen was born 1814 Sibford Ferris and may have married Ann Spicer b 1832 Sibford Gower. In 1841 he lived in Banbury and in 1851 in Sibford Gower.

Their daughter Jane Keen was born 19.1.1851 in Sibford Gower and married John Rogers the blacksmith in Sandford Shropshire, where they lived in 1881.
Don't know any more about the Keens apart from the 1911 census listings, but they don't tell me who belongs to who.

Can anyone please look for any more children in the 1841, 51, or 61 census?
